Annie, 10 years old

10 year old girl moved from Kazahstan two years ago and was placed in a day school with the help of a big agency. The family felt that they wanted more tailored approach for leading through 11+ and contacted EducAd after friends' recommendations

Process

The mother of Annie approached EducAd in January, a year prior to 11+ entry exams. The family were already using the services of a big agency since they moved to the UK two years ago. Annie was having regular English tutoring but the family felt that they wanted a more personal approach in order to guarantee a chance of being accepted in a good day school in north London. After the initial meeting EducAd developed an educational plan for Annie and agreed on a long list of schools to visit with the family. The majority of the visits took place in Spring and by the family's choice our consultant accompanied them to every school. Meanwhile Annie took part in EducAd's 11+ mock exams and carried on preparing for the exams.

Result

After the visits EducAd consultant discussed with the parents which visited schools they liked and prioritised them in a list. The application process with more personalised preparation for each school and more mock exams and mock interviews will take place in autumn.
